1. Knuckles Mountain Range: Located in the central part of the country, the Knuckles Mountain Range is known for its rugged terrain and scenic beauty. It is named after its resemblance to a clenched fist or a set of knuckles. The area is a designated conservation area and offers opportunities for hiking, camping, and wildlife exploration.



2. Adam's Peak (Sri Pada): Though not a mountain range, Adam's Peak is a famous mountain peak in Sri Lanka. It is considered a sacred site by multiple religious groups, including Buddhists, Hindus, Christians, and Muslims. Pilgrims and tourists climb the mountain to reach the summit, especially during the pilgrimage season from December to May. 4. Pidurutalagala: Located near the city of Nuwara Eliya, Pidurutalagala is the highest mountain in Sri Lanka, reaching an elevation of 2,524 meters (8,281 feet). It is an inactive volcano and an important landmark in the region. While access to the summit is restricted due to military installations, visitors can enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounding area.
